Releasing July 25, 2017
Avon Books

From Ilona Andrews, #1 New York Times bestselling author, the thrilling conclusion to her Hidden Legacy series, as Nevada and Rogan grapple with a power beyond even their imagination…

Nevada Baylor can’t decide which is more frustrating — harnessing her truthseeker abilities or dealing with Connor “Mad” Rogan and their evolving relationship. Yes, the billionaire Prime is helping her navigate the complex magical world in which she’s become a crucial player—and sometimes a pawn—but she also has to deal with his ex-fiancée, whose husband has disappeared, and whose damsel-in-distress act is wearing very, very thin.

Rogan faces his own challenges, too, as Nevada’s magical rank has made her a desirable match for other Primes. Controlling his immense powers is child’s play next to controlling his conflicting emotions. And now he and Nevada are confronted by a new threat within her own family. Can they face this together? Or is their world about to go up in smoke?

“Ilona Andrews" is the pseudonym for a husband-and-wife writing team. Ilona is a native-born Russian and Gordon is a former communications sergeant in the U.S. Army. Contrary to popular belief, Gordon was never an intelligence officer with a license to kill, and Ilona was never the mysterious Russian spy who seduced him. They met in college, in English Composition 101, where Ilona got a better grade. (Gordon is still sore about that.) They have co-authored two New York Times and USA Today bestselling series—the urban fantasy of Kate Daniels and the romantic urban fantasy of The Edge—and are working on the next volumes for both. They live in Texas with their two children and many dogs and cats.

Book Description:

Christian is the exception to Tiffany’s rule that all males are louses. For years Tiffany has lusted after Christian and of late she can’t help but wonder what it might be like to have a brief fling with him. The opportunity to explore her secret fantasy appears when Christian offers her a job as the IT person for his practice, the V clinic. She knows if he gives her the green light, she’s going to have a romp with her sexy vampire. When the night finally arrives and she and Christian have sex, the experience is so overwhelmingly powerful, Tiffany backpedals and tries to turn down the heat between them. She’s human. He’s a vampire. She can’t afford to fall in love with him.

Christian has other ideas. During their sexual encounter, he discovers Tiffany is his life mate and he vows to change her thinking. His intentions are put on hold when he gets caught up in an angel of death’s vicious plan to chemically terminate V clinic patients’ pregnancies. Tiffany herself falls victim to a lethal dose of arsenic and Christian can only save her by turning her into a vampire. She’s furious when she wakes from her turning and discovers what Christian has done. She wants nothing to do with him ever again, but when she’s kidnapped by this angel of death and used as a guinea pig for deadly experiments she only has Christian to turn to save her life.

Excerpt:
Nathan’s men rushed inside, Christian at their heels. He flipped up his sunglasses and looked about the inky darkness of a huge garage, plenty luminous for vampire eyes. Another standard door led to the belly of the building in the far right corner. He headed toward it, behind Nathan’s six men. Asa, Dominic and Nathan took up the rear, single file behind him.
At this point most everyone inside had surely heard the door come down. Christian needed to alert Tiffany and make her ready for whatever transpired once they emerged into the building’s interior.
We’re here. Get ready. Say nothing and stay calm. I’ll be there before you know it.
You’re here? Thank God, Christian.
Are you alone?
Yeah, I’m still alone and tied down to this damned bed. My heart is about to beat out of my chest. That’s my only tell, but no one except a vampire could here it.
I’ll hear it soon enough and it will be music to my ears.
Be careful.
You too.
Two of Nathan’s men took the battering ram to the interior door. Once it was relieved of it’s hinges, Christian rushed inside behind four of Nathan’s men. He expected to be met by the very least the brother armed to defend his turf, but instead two young thin vampire girls with hideously gray skin and gaunt features stood in a long hall just out a doorway to his right. The scent of chili wafted from the room, and Christian assumed it to be a kitchen.
The two girls appeared terrified, frozen in place, eyes wide and flitting from one armed man to another.
“Hands in the air!” one of the humans ordered.

Interview

1.   What literary pilgrimages have you gone on?
I love going to writing conferences. They’re a great way to refuel, relax and learn more about a craft I have an extreme passion for.
2.   What is the first book that made you cry?
Twilight. It inspired me to write vampire romance, but stories with more human-like vampire characters. Also I wanted more mature characters too, which I’ve written into most all of my Forever and a Night series books.
3.   Does writing energize or exhaust you?
It absolutely energizes me. I love to write and when the story starts to flow I can write for hours on end.
4.   What is your writing Kryptonite?
Noise. I can’t write well with the TV on or with people around. I need quiet.
5.   Did you ever consider writing under a pseudonym?
No. I worked hard to be a writer and wanted my name on my books.
6.   What other authors are you friends with, and how do they help you become a better writer?
I have a number of writer friends who I can share concerns and troubles with. Usually they’re facing the same ones and it’s good to bounce off concerns with someone who knows the challenges authors face such as writer’s block, marketing and advertising your book, etc.
7.   Do you want each book to stand on its own, or are you trying to build a body of work with connections between each book?
I am writing a vampire romance series. Each book is a stand alone book, but you’ll find the characters popping up or starring in each of my books. So there is definitely a connection between stories, but a reader wouldn’t have to read the first book, Forever and a Night to enjoy Dark Experiments or the other books that will be coming out soon.
8.   What authors did you dislike at first but grew into?
Christine Feehan. I liked the first vampire romance I read, but I’d read other books I liked better. As I got into her series I became hooked though.
9.            As a writer, what would you choose as your mascot/avatar/spirit animal?
I’d have to say a cat. They can be mysterious and adventurous or they can be a great best friend. My cat likes to sit on my lap when I’m writing. He has no idea he’s distracting me, he just wants love.
10.            How many unpublished and half-finished books do you have?
When I first started writing I never tried to publish any of those books because I didn’t think they were good enough. I probably have four or five that I started on and never finished to my satisfaction. But as I continued to write I got better at the craft and began to have more confidence in my work. When I finished my first book in this series, Forever and a Night, I knew it was good. Really good. And I submitted it to a publishing house and sold it.
11.            What did you edit out of this book?
I rewrote this book twice. I totally edited out the majority of this book, but kept the premise meaning the setting, the personality of the characters etc. It took me a year and a half to complete this book. At times I thought I’d never finish it, but I’m glad I didn’t give up. I love this book and my characters. Tiffany, my heroine is probably my favorite character of any I’ve created. She’s spunky, mouthy and has no verbal filter. She says and does what she pleases. I love that about her.
12.            If you didn’t write, what would you do for work?
I was a chef for eight years and I really enjoyed it. If I had to go back to doing that full time I would, but I wouldn’t be everything I want to be if I didn’t write.
13.            Do you hide any secrets in your books that only a few people will find?
Yes. The spiritual element of my characters. I weave that in carefully so that it’s a part of who they are, but not one of the primary elements of the books.

READY TO RUN by Lauren Layne Excerpt & Giveaway

READY TO RUN

Lauren Layne

Loveswept

The Bachelor meets The Runaway Bride in this addictive romance novel about a reality TV producer falling for her would-be star: a Montana heartthrob who wants nothing to do with the show.

Jordan Carpenter thinks she’s finally found the perfect candidate for Jilted, a new dating show about runaway grooms: Luke Elliott, a playboy firefighter who’s left not one but three brides at the altar. The only problem? Luke refuses to answer Jordan’s emails or return her calls. Which is how she ends up on a flight to Montana to recruit him in person. It’s not Manhattan but at least the locals in Lucky Hollow seem friendly . . . except for Luke, who’s more intense—and way hotter—than the slick womanizer Jordan expected.

Eager to put the past behind him, Luke has zero intention of following this gorgeous, fast-talking city girl back to New York. But before he can send her packing, Jordan’s everywhere: at his favorite bar, the county fair, even his exes’ book club. Annoyingly, everyone in Lucky Hollow seems to like her—and deep down, she’s starting to grow on him too. But the more he fights her constant pestering, the more Luke finds himself wishing that Jordan would kick off her high heels and make herself comfortable in his arms.

Damn. Charlie hadn’t been lying about the hot blonde.
The woman walking straight toward him was all tight jeans, high heels, and confi-dence. And hot. Very, very hot.
Charlie muttered something admiring under his breath, and Luke’s gaze flicked to the man beside the woman. Tried to place him. Couldn’t.
Not too many guys around here who wore light-purple shirts and white pants with the same easy comfort that Lucky Hollow residents wore jeans and flannel.
No doubt about it—neither was from around here. Not by a long shot.
The man was a half step behind the woman, and Luke assessed that the woman was calling the shots.
His eyes narrowed as he realized that she hadn’t once wavered in her approach.
She knew what she was after:
Him.

EYE CANDY by Jessica Lemmon Giveaway

Don’t trust lust at first sight.

EYE CANDY
Real Love #1
Jessica Lemmon
Releasing July 25th, 2017
Loveswept

Don’t trust lust at first sight. One woman chooses reality over fantasy in this friends-to-lovers romance.

Jacqueline:

As an adult woman—and the vice president of a marketing firm—I shouldn’t be waiting by my office window to ogle the mystery man who jogs by every morning at 11:45. Sure, he’s a gorgeous, perfect specimen of the human race, but I can’t bring myself to hit on a total stranger. However, my best friend–slash–colleague Vince Carson thinks I should do more than talk to the guy. In fact, he’s borderline obsessive about “getting me laid.” (His words.) But the more time we spend together, the more it’s clear: The one I’m falling for is Vince.

Vince: Jackie Butler’s got it bad for some pompous, over-pumped A-hole who struts his stuff past her window. That doesn’t bother me. I know she deserves nice things. What does bother me is that she friend-zoned me big-time last year, so I can’t ask her out myself. But what if I set her up with Mr. Steroids? Then, when he breaks her heart, I can swoop in and save her like the nice guy I am. Everything’s going according to plan . . . until we share a ridiculously epic kiss. And suddenly anything is possible.
